The Cook Labor Government has unveiled a new tourism initiative designed to attract more visitors to Western Australia's Coral Coast, offering travellers 50 per cent discounts on selected tours and experiences across Exmouth, Coral Bay and Carnarvon.

The Ningaloo Adventure Vouchers program forms part of the State Government's $1.45 million Cyclone Narelle Tourism Business Support Package, aimed at helping tourism operators recover from the impacts of the severe weather event while stimulating visitation to the region.

Under the scheme, visitors can access discounted experiences including whale shark and manta ray swims, snorkelling tours, eco and hiking adventures, scenic flights, Aboriginal cultural experiences and a variety of other tourism activities.

The vouchers will be available from 5 May until 30 June 2026, or until allocation limits are reached, and can be redeemed on bookings made up to 30 November 2026. The program is intended to generate forward bookings for local tourism businesses while supporting jobs and economic recovery throughout the Coral Coast.

Travellers can obtain the discount through the Western Australia Visitor Centre, Ningaloo Visitor Centre and Carnarvon Visitor Centre. To access the offer, visitors must register with a participating visitor centre to receive a unique booking code that can be applied when making reservations.

The initiative complements recently opened Tourism Business Support Payments for eligible operators impacted by Cyclone Narelle, alongside a targeted intrastate marketing campaign encouraging Western Australians to explore the Coral Coast and take advantage of the discounted experiences.

Additional accommodation options have also been introduced in Exmouth, with the Shire of Exmouth opening a public overflow camping facility at Koobooroo Oval to assist visitors travelling to the region.

Tourism Minister Reece Whitby said the program was designed to provide immediate assistance to local businesses while rebuilding visitor confidence in the region.

"We know Cyclone Narelle has had a significant impact on tourism businesses across Exmouth, Coral Bay and Carnarvon, and this package delivers practical support while encouraging people to visit the region," Mr Whitby said.

"The Ningaloo Adventure Vouchers make it more affordable for visitors to experience the Coral Coast's world-class marine life, landscapes and cultural attractions, while helping local operators secure forward bookings and support recovery."

Regional Development Minister Stephen Dawson said the initiative would help businesses continue operating as visitor numbers recover.

"The Coral Coast is open for business again following Tropical Cyclone Narelle, and we want visitors to take advantage of this opportunity to experience one of WA's most unique destinations," Mr Dawson said.

Gascoyne Minister Hannah Beazley said tourism remained critical to local jobs and regional economies.

"Local businesses are ready to welcome visitors back, and this program gives travellers a great reason to explore the Coral Coast while directly supporting local communities," Ms Beazley said.

Pilbara MLA Kevin Michel said the vouchers would help encourage both domestic and international travellers back to the region following the cyclone.

Visitors are encouraged to secure accommodation before travelling and can find more information about the program through Tourism Western Australia Adventure Vouchers.
