Wall Street Surges to All Time High

The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged to close at a fresh record, and the S&P 500 achieved an all-time high, capping the week on a positive note for investors. The S&P 500 made a modest gain of 0.03%, concluding at 5,088.80. Earlier in the day, this broad market index broke through the 5,100 mark for the first time.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged to close at a fresh record, and the S&P 500 achieved an all-time high, capping the week on a positive note for investors.

The S&P 500 made a modest gain of 0.03%, concluding at 5,088.80. Earlier in the day, this broad market index broke through the 5,100 mark for the first time.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average experienced an increase of 62.42 points, or 0.16%, establishing a new record and closing at an unprecedented high of 39,131.53.

Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite, although slipping 0.28% to finish at 15,996.82, had earlier reached a fresh 52-week high during the session.

All three major indices had a positive week, with the S&P 500 advancing 1.66%, the Nasdaq gaining 1.4%, and the Dow increasing by 1.3%.

Wall Street witnessed a remarkable day driven by Nvidia's robust quarterly results, propelling the chipmaker's valuation briefly beyond $2 trillion.

Thursday marked the S&P 500's most impressive performance since January 2023, while the Nasdaq Composite soared nearly 3%, marking its best session since February 2023.

The Dow, consisting of 30 stocks, also gained about 1.2% during this period.
