Australia secured their fourth Under-19 Cricket World Cup title with a commanding 79-run triumph over India in the final match.
The Australians set a competitive target of 253-7 in their allotted 50 overs, led by Harjas Singh's top score of 55, while Raj Limbani took 3-38 for India.
Despite a patient innings of 47 from India's opener Adarsh Singh, only three other Indian batsmen reached double figures as they were eventually dismissed for 174.
Mahli Beardman stood out as the standout bowler for Australia, claiming 3-15.
This victory marked Australia's first Under-19 World Cup win since 2010. Captain Hugh Weibgen expressed his pride in the team and coaches, acknowledging the hard work put in over the past few months.
He also commended India as a formidable side that dominated the tournament but found themselves on the losing side in the final.
The Player of the Tournament honor went to South Africa's fast bowler Kwena Maphaka, who impressively took 21 wickets at an average of 9.71 throughout the competition.
