A teenage boy has been charged after an alleged stolen vehicle incident that spanned multiple locations across southeast Queensland.

Police allege that at approximately 11pm on April 24, an unknown offender entered a home on Jessica Boulevard in Minyama, stole a set of car keys, and drove off in a blue Mustang.

The vehicle was later sighted around midday in Broadbeach Waters and was subsequently tracked moving through parts of the Gold Coast and Logan throughout the afternoon.

At about 5.30pm, police air support (POLAIR) began monitoring the vehicle as it travelled from the Gateway Motorway onto the Logan Motorway. Officers later deployed a tyre deflation device in Underwood at approximately 7.05pm, forcing the vehicle to stop.

The car was abandoned in a car park off Kingston Road shortly afterwards.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested soon after at a residence in Woodridge and has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He is scheduled to appear before the Beenleigh Children's Court on April 27. Investigations remain ongoing.
