Detectives from the Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit are seeking public assistance following a series of break-ins in Port Melbourne.

The first incident occurred around 3.40am on 6 May, when a man reportedly entered a business on Rouse Street and stole two laptops before fleeing the scene on foot.

Six days later, the same man allegedly returned with an accomplice. Around 3.45am, the pair broke into two nearby businesses on Rouse Street, damaging several doors and stealing cash, jewellery, and a CCTV system. Police believe they also attempted to access a third business but were unsuccessful.

Investigators have released CCTV footage and images of two men believed to be involved, in the hope the public can help identify them.

The first man is described as Caucasian, aged in his 30s, approximately 175-180 cm tall, and was wearing a black jumper, black pants, white shoes, and a bucket hat.

The second man is also described as Caucasian, aged in his 50s, and was seen wearing a black hooded jacket, brown pants, and black shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
