TRC's Real Estate Portal Sees Record Usage and Positive Feedback
Toowoomba Regional Council's (TRC) online real estate portal is proving increasingly popular, with record usage reported over the past financial year.
In the 2024/25 financial year, the portal received nearly 13,000 visits-averaging around 1,100 visits per month-marking a 20 per cent increase compared to the previous year.
The free tool allows real estate agents and solicitors to access key information such as rates, charges, and property details across the Toowoomba Region using the lot-on-plan number for a specific property.
TRC Finance portfolio spokesperson, Councillor Gary Gardner, said the portal is significantly enhancing the customer experience.
"Council is always looking for ways to improve outcomes for our residents and customers, and the real estate portal is doing exactly that," Cr Gardner said.
"With over 1,100 monthly visits, the platform provides convenient, 24/7 access to essential property information, eliminating the need for direct contact with Council and easing pressure on customer service resources."
Users can search properties by lot-on-plan to find details such as property location and description, half-yearly rates and water charges, outstanding balances, current water meter readings, land size, and land valuation.
To support users, Council also offers basic training on how to use the system. "Our rates team is happy to assist agents and solicitors in getting started," Cr Gardner added. "Anyone needing help can contact us on 131 872."

The real estate portal also supports Council's 'Every Time You...' campaign, which highlights the many ways TRC services support the community every day.
