Police have charged two men following the alleged theft of copper and other property in the Jandowae area on August 5. At around 5:30pm, officers responded to reports of suspicious behaviour at a makeshift campsite on Burra Burri Darr Creek Road in Burra Burri.

Police have charged two men following the alleged theft of copper and other property in the Jandowae area on August 5.
At around 5:30pm, officers responded to reports of suspicious behaviour at a makeshift campsite on Burra Burri Darr Creek Road in Burra Burri.
Later that evening, at approximately 7:00pm, police intercepted a Toyota Landcruiser towing a trailer on Jandowae Connection Road during routine patrols.
A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered a significant quantity of suspected stolen scrap copper, as well as air conditioning units and power tools.
Two Dalby men, aged 36 and 43, were arrested at the scene and taken into custody. Both have been charged with one count each of receiving tainted property.
They are expected to appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court today, August 6.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the origin of the suspected stolen items. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
