Toowoomba Grammar School will receive $750,000 from the Queensland Government to improve its student drop-off and transport infrastructure.

The funding is part of a $12 million state initiative supporting 10 independent schools across Queensland with new facilities or upgrades to existing infrastructure.

Queensland Education Minister John-Paul Langbroek said the investment would help schools meet growing infrastructure needs.

"All Queensland students deserve access to a world-class education system, and the Crisafulli Government is proud to support these vital projects," Minister Langbroek said.

"This funding will help ensure schools are better equipped to support students both in the classroom and in their day-to-day movements on campus."

At Toowoomba Grammar, the funding will go towards upgrading the bus set-down area along Herries Street. The project includes the design and installation of a signal-controlled pedestrian crossing and improvements to road markings and furniture.

Additional works will include the construction of a new pedestrian crossing and footpaths near Suffolk Street, further enhancing safety and accessibility for students and families.
