Two men have been killed in a light plane crash near Oakey, west of Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to Oakey Cooyar Road shortly after 3pm on Sunday following reports of a downed aircraft. When Queensland Fire and Emergency Services arrived, they found the plane engulfed in flames, which they quickly brought under control.
Despite six ambulances being dispatched to the scene, the men could not be saved.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has been notified and will launch an investigation into the cause of the crash.
