Have Your Say on Toowoomba Region’s Draft Parking Strategy - Open Until July 14, 2025
Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is inviting community feedback on its draft Toowoomba Region Parking Strategy, with consultation open until Monday, July 14, 2025.
TRC Transport and Drainage Planning portfolio spokesperson, Councillor Trevor Manteufel, said the Council is eager to hear from residents, business owners, shoppers, and workers about their parking habits and experiences-particularly in Toowoomba's CBD and surrounding areas.
"Council wants to better understand how, when, and where people are using parking across the Region to help shape a strategy that reflects current and future needs," Cr Manteufel said.
"The current Toowoomba City Centre Car Parking Strategy was introduced in 2019, but since then, significant changes have occurred. The updated strategy aims to respond to those changes and plan for growth across key precincts and regional towns."
Cr Manteufel said the new strategy will focus on improving parking across the Central Traffic Area and the Toowoomba CBD by applying best-practice principles to simplify and modernise the current system.
Community members are encouraged to share their feedback through Council's Your Say platform at yoursay.tr.qld.gov.au.
