Teen charged after alleged wounding incident in Clayfield

A 17-year-old boy from Salisbury has been charged following an alleged serious assault in Clayfield on November 29.

Police were called to reports of a large disturbance at a property on Oriel Road about 9:30pm. When officers arrived, they dispersed a group of juveniles, but a second disturbance soon erupted nearby on Brooke Street.

Authorities allege the 17-year-old and a 16-year-old boy from Eaton Hills became involved in a physical altercation during the incident. The younger teen is believed to have sustained a significant back wound, and the alleged offender fled before police reached the scene.

The injured boy was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

The 17-year-old has been charged with grievous bodily harm, going armed to cause fear, and assault occasioning bodily harm in company. He is expected to appear in Brisbane Children's Court today, December 2.

Police are urging anyone with information or relevant footage to contact them as investigations continue.
