The Queensland Government has reached a new certified agreement covering Queensland Health staff and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce, delivering wage increases and improved conditions for more than 38,000 employees.

A strong majority of workers voted in favour of the agreement, which will deliver an 8 per cent rise in wages and allowances over three years. The deal also includes increases to a range of penalties and allowances.

More than 87 per cent of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce employees, along with administrative, operational, professional and technical staff, supported the Crisafulli Government's offer. The wage increases align with the Public Sector Wages Policy - 3 per cent in the first year, followed by 2.5 per cent in each of the next two years - with an additional CPI adjustment available if triggered.

Administrative, operational, professional and technical staff will also benefit from improvements to night-shift allowances, expanded part-time options for shift workers, and enhanced leave loading provisions. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce will receive additional support aimed at attracting and retaining staff in remote communities where essential services are delivered.

These agreements follow recently finalised enterprise bargaining deals with nurses, midwives, paramedics and medical officers.

Health Minister Tim Nicholls said the outcome reflects the Crisafulli Government's focus on strengthening the state's health workforce.

"Together with agreements for nurses, midwives, medical officers and paramedics, this deal means more than 116,000 Queensland Health employees are set to receive improved pay and conditions," Mr Nicholls said.

"This strong endorsement shows the value of working closely with unions to support our public sector workforce. It's an important milestone that recognises the dedication of the people who keep our health system running every day."
