Police are investigating a violent break-and-enter at Wellington Point early this morning, December 8, in which a man was shot.
According to initial information, a group of offenders arrived at a Mander Court home at about 1am, forced their way inside, and confronted the occupant. During the incident, one member of the group fired a gun, hitting the 25-year-old resident in the foot.
The offenders then stole multiple items from the home before escaping in two vehicles: a Dodge Ram utility and a BMW X5.
Emergency services responded shortly after the incident, and the injured man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
