All-star field confirmed for 2026 Brisbane International

Queensland is gearing up for a blockbuster start to the 2026 Summer of Tennis, with a stellar line-up of the world's top athletes unveiled for the Brisbane International.

Queensland is gearing up for a blockbuster start to the 2026 Summer of Tennis, with a stellar line-up of the world's top athletes unveiled for the Brisbane International.

An estimated 63,400 spectators are expected to pack Pat Rafter Arena from 4-11 January, delivering around $12 million to the state's economy and reinforcing Queensland's status as Australia's sporting and events capital.

Supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland, this year's tournament brings together Grand Slam champions, rising stars and returning titleholders in what is tipped to be one of the strongest fields in the event's 15-year history.

Environment and Tourism Minister Andrew Powell said the Brisbane International continued to elevate Queensland's global sporting profile.

"The Brisbane International is a key tourism driver showcasing Queensland on the world stage," he said.
"We expect around 5,600 interstate visitors, who will not only enjoy world-class tennis but also contribute to our restaurants, hotels and tourism operators."

Sport Minister Tim Mander said the tournament would add further momentum to Queensland's summer of elite competition.

"This is always a special event where fans can watch the world's best in the home of Australian sport," Mr Mander said.
"Pat Rafter Arena will be a major venue for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and events like this give the world a preview of what's to come."

Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the tournament continued to deliver for the city's economy and sporting culture.

"Brisbane loves its sport and we're proud to host such exceptional talent," Cr Schrinner said.
"With seven of the world's top ten women competing and the debut of the Australian Wheelchair International, fans can expect another thrilling week of tennis."

Tournament Director Cameron Pearson said the 2026 event would launch the Australian Summer of Tennis in spectacular style.

"There's no better way to celebrate our 15th anniversary than with an incredible line-up of players," he said.
"This year we're also excited to host the ITF 500 Australian Wheelchair International, featuring eight of the world's top men's wheelchair athletes."
