4,000 MDMA ecstasy tablets seized during Albion drug raid
Detectives from the State Drug Squad have seized a significant quantity of dangerous drugs, including around 4,000 MDMA ecstasy tablets, following the execution of a search warrant in Albion.
The warrant was carried out yesterday as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking across Brisbane.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with multiple offences, including trafficking in dangerous drugs (MDMA), trafficking in dangerous drugs (cocaine), possessing dangerous drugs in quantities equal to or exceeding Schedule 4 (cocaine), possessing Schedule 1 dangerous drugs in quantities exceeding Schedule 4, possessing items used in the commission of a crime, and possessing proceeds of crime.
He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 10 March 2026.
Detective Inspector Brad Phelps from the Drug and Serious Crime Group's State Drug Squad said the drugs seized were intended for distribution on the streets, with little regard for the harm they could cause.
"This quantity of MDMA tablets has the potential to cause significant community harm," Detective Inspector Phelps said.
"Dangerous drugs destroy lives and fuel further criminal activity, which is why we remain committed to targeting and prosecuting those involved in drug trafficking."
