We're just a bunch of locals,
Aussies through and through,
We meet a bloke, shake his hand, and say - "Ow ya goin', Blue?"
I'm just around the corner,
If you ever need a hand
There's beer in the fridge and a bikkie or two,
Before we shift the sand.
But today's a very special day, the Twenty-sixth of Jan,
It't billy tea and damper,
Pie and Peas for every man.
Don't worry if the peas don't mix,
Just take it in your stride,
It's Australia Day for one and all, just fill your hearts with pride.
