Seven people have been charged with a total of 30 offences after police investigations into the supply and trafficking of dangerous drugs in Queensland's South West District.

Detectives from the Dalby Criminal Investigation Branch and the South West Tactical Crime Squad carried out Operation X-Ray Wisdom, executing four search warrants at properties in Tara and surrounding areas on 17 December.

During the searches, police allegedly located quantities of dangerous drugs, including methylamphetamine, GHB and cannabis, along with several mobile phones.

A 27-year-old Tara woman has been charged with nine offences, including supplying and producing dangerous drugs, possessing drugs and items allegedly used in the commission of offences, possessing drug utensils, failing to properly dispose of a needle and unauthorised possession of explosives.

A 34-year-old man from Caboolture has been charged with six offences, including supplying and possessing dangerous drugs, possessing items allegedly used in criminal activity, possessing drug utensils, failing to dispose of a needle and possessing medication.

Both are scheduled to appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court on 17 March.

Two men aged 32 and 26, and three women aged 21, 29 and 62, were issued drug diversion notices in relation to alleged offences including possession of dangerous drugs, possession of items used in drug offences, possession of utensils and failure to dispose of a needle.

South West District Detective Inspector Andrew Trenerry said the results reflected the ongoing work of investigators targeting drug-related crime.

"These outcomes demonstrate our continued focus on disrupting drug supply networks and reducing crime across the South West District as part of Operation X-Ray Wisdom," Detective Inspector Trenerry said.

"The arrests are a step towards making Tara and surrounding communities safer."
