The Queensland Government has committed $400,000 to support major charity Christmas appeals aimed at helping vulnerable Queenslanders during the festive season.

St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland, The Salvation Army, The Smith Family and UnitingCare Community will each receive $100,000 to assist with their Christmas programs, providing vital support to individuals and families facing hardship.

The funding will help deliver essential services including accommodation assistance, food hampers for families, and Christmas gifts for children, offering both practical relief and a sense of hope during a challenging time.

Premier David Crisafulli said the funding would help ensure charities can continue to meet growing demand over the holiday period.

"These organisations play a critical role in supporting Queenslanders when they need it most - providing shelter, meals and something to look forward to at Christmas," Premier Crisafulli said.

"We are proud to support these hardworking charities not only during the festive season, but throughout the year.

"Christmas is a time for giving, and I thank the staff and volunteers who are dedicating their time and effort to support Queenslanders in need."
