Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a cyclist at Tingalpa on Friday morning, January 10. Emergency services were called to the intersection of Wynnum Road and Murarrie Road at approximately 6.10am following reports of a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle. The cyclist, an 83-year-old man from Balmoral died.

Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a cyclist at Tingalpa on Friday morning, January 10.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Wynnum Road and Murarrie Road at approximately 6.10am following reports of a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle.
The cyclist, an 83-year-old man from Balmoral, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical injuries, where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle, a Mitsubishi Triton driven by a 50-year-old Murarrie man, was not physically injured in the crash.
The Forensic Crash Unit is examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the collision, to contact authorities.
