A man has been charged following a police investigation into an alleged assault in Manly earlier this month. Police allege that around 5:10pm on April 9, a 34-year-old man exited his Mazda at the intersection of Mountjoy Terrace and Gordon Parade and assaulted a 47-year-old man who was driving a Toyota.

A man has been charged following a police investigation into an alleged assault in Manly earlier this month.
Police allege that around 5:10pm on April 9, a 34-year-old man exited his Mazda at the intersection of Mountjoy Terrace and Gordon Parade and assaulted a 47-year-old man who was driving a Toyota.
It is further alleged the man returned to his vehicle and continued driving to Oakley Street, where he pulled over and became involved in a second altercation with the same victim. During this incident, he allegedly attempted to steal the victim's phone before fleeing the scene.
The injured Toyota driver was taken to Redlands Hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, police issued a public appeal on April 10, seeking information and any dashcam or CCTV footage from the area.
On April 27, officers executed a search warrant at a Manly address on Raeburn Street, where a 34-year-old man was arrested.
He has since been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm and is due to appear before Wynnum Magistrates Court on June 8.
