Bundaberg Set for Its Biggest Christmas Yet
The Bundaberg Regional Council has unveiled its 2025 Christmas program, showcasing a lively calendar of events designed to bring festive spirit to every corner of the region.
This year's line-up promises something for all ages, with artisan markets, hands-on workshops, live entertainment and the much-loved Pageant of Lights all returning for the season.
Mayor Helen Blackburn said Christmas was a special time for the community to celebrate the creativity, generosity and shared spirit that define the Bundaberg Region.

"Christmas in Bundaberg is about more than decorations and songs - it's a celebration of everything that makes our region unique," Mayor Blackburn said.
"We're fortunate to have vibrant public spaces, exceptional local talent and a community that always comes together. This year's program reflects all of that, from sparkling lights in the CBD to riverside festivities for families."
The Pageant of Lights will again be a highlight of the season, set to illuminate Bourbong Street on Thursday, 4 December.
"We're delighted to bring the Pageant of Lights back to the heart of the CBD," Mayor Blackburn said.
"Whether you're cheering from the sidelines or joining the parade, it's a magical way to start the festive season."
The celebrations continue into the new year with the return of the New Year's Eve Fireworks at the newly redeveloped ANZAC Park.
"With riverfront views, live entertainment, food trucks and two spectacular fireworks shows, it's the perfect way to farewell 2025 and ring in 2026," she said.
Events portfolio spokesperson Councillor Steve Cooper said the 2025 program was crafted to reflect the region's diversity and energy.
"From browsing locally made gifts at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery's artisan markets to enjoying festive performances at the Moncrieff or joining one of the many community-run events, there truly is something for everyone," Cr Cooper said.
