Liverpool Complete £120m Signing of Bradley Barcola

Liverpool have completed the signing of France winger Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal understood to be worth around £120 million ($162m).

The 23-year-old has agreed a five-year contract with the Premier League champions after passing his medical on Monday, bringing an end to months of speculation linking him with a move to Anfield.

Barcola said he was delighted to join Liverpool and is determined to help the club compete for major honours.

"It's a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool. I'm very happy," Barcola said in comments published on the club's website.

The France international added that he was eager to get started and hopes to help Liverpool win another Premier League title.

"I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League - it's one of my biggest dreams in my life," he said.

Barcola also expressed his desire to establish himself at Liverpool for many years, explaining that his long-term ambitions were a major reason behind signing a five-year deal.

The winger began his professional career with hometown club Lyon before joining PSG in 2023. He quickly became an important member of the Parisian side as they secured consecutive domestic league and Champions League doubles.

However, the emergence of fellow France international Desire Doue reduced Barcola's regular opportunities in PSG's starting XI and fuelled speculation that he could seek a new challenge elsewhere.

Liverpool moved decisively to strengthen their attack following the departure of Egypt forward Mohamed Salah, who left the club during the summer transfer window to join Turkish side Trabzonspor.

Barcola arrives at Anfield with considerable international experience. He has made 28 appearances for France and scored six goals for his country.

He was also part of France's squad at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they reached the semi-finals before losing to eventual champions Spain. Barcola later scored in France's third-place play-off defeat to England.

Liverpool will now hope the versatile winger can provide a major attacking threat as they attempt to defend their Premier League crown and compete for further silverware.
