LOS ANGELES (AP) – Nikki Glaser went hard then eased up in her monologue to open Sunday’s Golden Globes. In her earliest jokes she suggested stars in the room might be in the Epstein Files and took a shot at CBS, the network airing the show. “There are so many A-listers, and by A-listers, I do mean people who are on a list that has been heavily redacted”.
The Golden Globes had some predictable stuff, like “One Battle After Another” and “Adolescence” cleaning up and host Nikki Glaser making fun of the age of Leonardo DiCaprio’s partners.
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) – Emma Stone just seems more comfortable out of her seat than in it at awards shows. At the Golden Globes Sunday, the “Bugonia” star held court with a rotating cast of companions, from Kirsten Dunst to Jennifer Lawrence – not in the main ballroom, but in a much smaller side room with a bar, a tea and coffee station.
Ryan Coogler’s pulsating supernatural thriller “Sinners” leads the movie categories in nominations for the NAACP Image Awards, announced Monday. “Sinners,” in which Michael B. Jordan pulls double duty as twins, received 18 nominations, followed by Spike Lee’s “Highest 2 Lowest,” which got nine. In television, “Bel-Air” leads with seven nods.

MILAN (AP) – Crossover tenor Andrea Bocelli will be among the headline performers for the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics opening ceremony on Feb. 6, joining the previously announced pop diva Mariah Carey, organizers said Sunday. The opening ceremony will be centered in Milan’s landmark San Siro soccer stadium.
